Another good half-day hike is to Jamacho Gumba, located inside Nagarjun Forest. The trail begins at Fulbari Gate (1,500 m) and climbs to Jamacho Gumba (2,128 m), taking around 4–5 hours round trip. The hike passes through lush, protected forest that’s ideal for bird watching. At the top, there’s a stupa and a small viewpoint tower. On clear days, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and even Manaslu. The hike also offers a stunning view of the Kathmandu Valley. The site holds spiritual significance in Tibetan Buddhism and is considered a meditation spot of Guru Rinpoche.
